The new publication platform for FAU University Press: OPEN FAU

FAU University Press has always used open source software. Until now, we have relied on the OPUS 4 software, hosted by the Berlin-Brandenburg Cooperative Library Network, as our publication platform. However, the open source software DSpace is more popular internationally. In order to remain competitive for the future, it was therefore decided to migrate to DSpace and host the open source software ourselves: the migration has now been completed and all documents from OPUS FAU have been imported into OPEN FAU. The persistent hyperlinks of the Digital Object Identifier and Uniform Resource Names have also been corrected.

The update to the new DSpace7 software offers a wide range of future possibilities for further development and interface connections (for example there are plans to connect FAU's Current Research Information System).
