Description
In this work, the p-doped topological insulators SnSb(2)Te(4), SnBi(0,1)Sb(1,9)Te(4), SnBi(0,2)Sb(1,8)Te(4) and GeSb(2)Te(4) are investigated, the topological surface state withing the band gap is determined and their spin polarization is verified with circular dichroism. The possibility of a selective excitation of the spin-polarized states, and with that a spin-current, is tested with circular polarized pump pulses and discussed in the context of the ultrafast dynamics of the systems as well as the current developments in literature.
