Project OS-APS STEMO

In the development of the single-source software OS-APS, which is being funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for a second term, the completion of a new software version was announced at the turn of the year. Compared to the previous version, this release includes several significant innovations and newly developed functionalities, such as the ability to configure the front and back sections of manuscripts.

The new publication platform for FAU University Press: OPEN FAU

FAU University Press has always used open source software. Until now, we have relied on the OPUS 4 software, hosted by the Berlin-Brandenburg Cooperative Library Network, as our publication platform. However, the open source software DSpace is more popular internationally. In order to remain competitive for the future, it was therefore decided to migrate to DSpace and host the open source software ourselves.

Start of the BMBF follow-up project OS-APS_STEMO

OS-APS_STEMO is the acronym for the "Extension of the Open Source Academic Publishing Suite (OS-APS) for complex STEM publications and optimised online presentations". The University Library of Erlangen-Nürnberg received the BMBF funding decision at the end of July 2023 and the project will soon be launched in practice. It will build on existing preliminary work.
