The book provides the chronology of the flight of Hussein Al Mūsā, Mrs. ʿAbās (his wife), and their son Hādī (aged one year and a half at the time of the flight) in 2015 (Hussein Al Mūsā) and 2016 (mother and child) from the south of Syria to Germany via Turkey. In simple and factual language, it tells the dramatic events experienced by this small family, which resemble those of many more families who managed to escape from the Syrian civil war in 2015/2016 and to find their way to Germany. The first steps of the family’s integration in Germany up to their moving into a rented flat of their own are also documented.
