Description
This work explores the contents of a largely uncharted collection of hand drawings which are part of the world-renowned Graphic Collection of the University Library of Erlangen-Nürnberg. These included two personal works of the brilliant Nuremberg Renaissance painter Peter Flötner as well as several copies after Italian prints, which provided interesting insights into cultural transfer around 1500. This work is a supplement to the essential catalogue „Die Zeichnungen in der Universitätsbibliothek Erlangen” of Elfried Bock, published in 1929.
