Description
This volume presents the printed versions of the lectures on the subject of 'Werte' (German for 'values') held on the occasion of the Erlanger Universitätstage from 12 March to 9 April 2019 in Amberg and from 24 October to 28 November 2019 in Ansbach. Five Erlangen scholars and scientists, Prof. Dr. Maren Conrad, Dr. Caroline Hack, Dr. Klaus Lösch, Prof. Dr. Roland Sturm und Prof. Dr. Georges Tamer, – representing the disciplines of German/Comparative Studies, Medical Ethics, American Studies, Political Science and Oriental Philology/Islamic Studies – managed to deliver enthralling lectures analysing diverse complex phenomena of values and evaluation from their respective specialist perspectives. Despite the high intellectual standards of these papers they remain understandable to a wide audience.
