Description
Social inequality is omnipresent and affects all areas of life, be it in economic, cultural or gender-specific terms. The contributions in this volume are dedicated to this ubiquitous phenomenon and examine varied forms and dimensions of social inequality, investigate its causes and ask about possible solutions. In this way, the phenomenon not only becomes visible in its complexity, but at the same time a panorama of diverse disciplinary approaches is opened up, as the contributions come from history, literature and cultural studies, sociology, psychology, geography, medical sociology and law.
