It is both an ethical and a legal obligation to provide blind and visually impaired people barrier-free access to scientific content, cf. e.g. Art. 14 BayBGG and § 1 - § 3 BayEGovG as well as Inklusion an der FAU.

I have prepared my manuscript in accordance with the Accessibility Guide and have provided alternative texts for all images in the man-uscript.

I authorise FAU University Press to commission a Service Provider to prepare the PDF in a PAC3-compliant accessible format and agree to bear the corresponding costs (alternative texts must nevertheless be supplied).

I currently have neither the time nor the financial resources to fulfil the above points and must refer to the exception according to the principle of proportionality (the creation of accessibility is disproportionate or impossible for financial, eco-nomic and administrative-organisational reasons).
