As an author or editor at FAU University Press, you will benefit from a wide range of services. We support you in all areas necessary for the publication of your work. On request, we will calculate the prices for printed copies, enabling you to receive your own and deposit copies at low cost, in addition to the Open Access version of the e-book, which is accessible free of charge worldwide.
We can also advise you on the design of your manuscript. We are happy to design the book cover according to your wishes.
We will work closely with you throughout the production process and provide you with an ISBN, DOI and ISSN if required. We can also arrange for your book to be listed in the Verzeichnis lieferbarer Bücher (VLB) (buchhandel.de), record metadata for the German National Bibliography and send you the legally required deposit copies.
Your publication is in good hands with us. We make sure that it is found by online booksellers and in internet search engines. We will register the publication in the FAU University Press website, in the German Association of University Presses (AG Universitätsverlage), in the Association of European University Presses (AEUP), in the German National Library (DNB), in the Bavarian Union Catalogue and, of course, in the catalogue of the University Library of Erlangen-Nürnberg. On request we will also try to include it in certain subject databases, see Abstracting & Indexing Services.
Permanent archiving of the electronic version is guaranteed. A contractually agreed minimum availability of requested print copies is a matter of course for us. We take care of the shipping, distribution and invoicing of your publication and can also send review copies on request.
